Remembering Two Legends On December 8th

Today is such a sad day for any real music fan to have to remember. Two legends of two different worlds died on December 8th. I am going to give a small retrospect on the both of them in this blog.

On December 8, 1980, the rock world lost a man that meant so much to so many people around the world. His influence on the rock and pop world is so evident in anything that is done today and his music is still worshiped by so many. John Lennon was shot and killed outside of his home in New York. It was the saddest day in history that even Howard Cosell interrupted his broadcast of a football game to announce that John Lennon had been shot. There will never be another artist like John Lennon and there will never be a man that tried to do so much for world peace and love like John Lennon. God Bless John Lennon

On December 8, 2004, the heavy metal world lost one of it's brightest stars when a crazed individual shot and killed Dimebag Darrell. I always tried to imagine the shock and heartbreak that fans must have experienced when Lennon was shot and unfortunately I had to live that the day Dimebag died. The master of his instrument and the brainiac behind such brilliant albums from Pantera, Rebel Meets Rebel, and Damageplan. I always heard stories that Dime was one of the most sincerest artist that the metal world had. He was someone that always went out of his way for his fans and never complained about it. If there ever was an argument about metal being dead, it definitely died the day Dimebag did. God Bless Dimebag Darrell Lance Abbott.
